Economic valuePotential

Scaleval is an open system to appreciate, measure, and track the potential of people, products, companies, and projects — beyond what they are worth on the market today.

The concept

Scaleval starts from a simple observation: the current economic value of a person, product, or project says nothing about its real potential. The system offers a common language to appreciate that potential.

Potential vs. realized value

A promising idea, an early-stage project, or a talented person can have zero market value today while carrying considerable potential. Scaleval aims to make that potential visible and measurable, separately from value already realized.

Potences (P)

The Potence is the unit of measurement for potential in the Scaleval system. It makes it possible to express, compare, and track potential consistently, whatever the field being assessed.

Appreciation through tickets

Every appreciation of potential is expressed through a ticket: a dated, attributable record documenting why and how a potential was recognized, by whom, and when.

An open protocol

Scaleval is designed as an open protocol, eventually meant to be governed by the Scaleval Foundation, and freely usable by researchers, developers, and entrepreneurs.

Founding documents

The protocol's reference texts and source code are published openly. The links below will be updated as new material is published.

Join the project

Scaleval is an open project, still under construction. Researchers, developers, entrepreneurs: if the topic of potential — beyond economic value — speaks to you, your contribution is welcome, whether on the protocol, the code, or spreading the idea.
